2-Channel RS485 Converter w/SD Control and The Interconnection Drawing Schematic - This 2-Channel RS485 Converter device converts unbalanced, full duplex RS232 signals to balanced full /half duplex RS232 to RS485 Converter Interconnection SchematicRS485 signals.
It is based on their each port that RS232 port has a male DB25P type of connector with pins 2 (TD input) and 3(RD output) supported and RS485 port has a female DB25S type of connector with the Send Data outputs on pins 2 and 14, and Receive Data inputs on pins 3 and 16 or 5 and 17.
At the two RS484 interconnection circuit above, the resistors should be about the impedance of the line used and in no case less than 120 Ohms each.
The resistor Rt is optionally valued depending on the line length, baud rate and etc (provided also with component replacements for changing baud rate timeouts in a table).
Put a 100 Ohm half watt resistor between pin 7 and the “reference” wire at every drop point for safety, since the RS-485 Standard recommends a third wire be used for presenting a signal return path proper operation.
