- ZXSC400 is a voltage mode boost converter that can be used in white LED backlighting for LCD, general LED the schematic diagram of ZXSC400 driving a Luxeon® V Star LEDbacklighting, LED flashlights or general LED driving from batteries. 

The following schematic diagram shows you how the ZXSC400 driving a Luxeon® V Star LED, a high powered LED. And we provide you also the datasheet of this device from the Zetex Semiconductors.

The schematic above shows an input voltage ranges from 4.2V to 5.4V with a maximum output current of 700 mA at 5V input in which the ZXSC400 driving a Luxeon® V Star LED. It consist of ZXSC400E6 (U1) 

LED driver in SOT23-6, ZXTN25012EFH (Q1) Low sat. NPN in SOT23, ZHCS2000 (D1) 2A Schottky in SOT23, 22uH generic L1 (ISAT = 2A), 18 mOhm Generic R1 (0805 size), 

820 mOhm Generic R2,R3 (0805 size), 1 kOhm Generic R4 (0805 size), 22uF/10V Generic C1, 100uF/10V generic C2, and 100nF/10V Generic C3 (0805 size).

According to the ZXSC400 datasheet, its low feedback voltage allows the current in a chain of LEDs to be set and accurately monitored with a single resistor giving minimal losses. 

Its excellent load and line regulation means that for the full supply range from lithium-ion cells, the LED current will typically change by less than 1%.
