Adaptable Digital Tachometer Circuit Diagram and Datasheet
Adaptable Digital Tachometer Circuit Diagram and Datasheet - This circuit below is part of a microprocessor-based digital tachometer and hourmeter with a built-in overspeed switch which is accurate to measure speed and running hours. It is MTH6 digital tachometer and hourmeter and is equipped with easy calibration feature. This kind of device can be used in applications such as generators, compressors, marine engines, oil field equipment and etc.
Now you may take a look at the back view of this MTH6 adjustable digital tacho and notice its typical wiring diagram:
A: Apply momentary ground to reset hours to zero.
B: When using the MTH6 with inductive loads, we recommend installing a suppression diode across all coils.
C: Terminals 4 and 8 may be grounded on negative ground power supply.
D: Alternator must be equipped with a tach terminal (auxiliary AC terminal).
E: Connecting full battery potential to terminal 9 can cause damage
to the switchgage. Shutdown circuit is rated for 300 mA continuous. Circuit grounds out at set point.
