Diode AM Receiver Circuit
This is a real electronic hobbyist's project. More fun comes from building the gadget itself and less from the quality of results. The receiver circuit is a hybrid of bare essentials and a bit of technology.
It may be an "oldie" receiver but it can still provide hours of enjoyment. The original diode receiver is improved by adding an audio amplifier.
The channel selection is done through capacitor C2. Coils L1 and L2 are ready made types so that you need not contruct them yourself.
They are readily available from electronic supply stores. Take note of their inductance values.
