In some applications, one needs a voltage level that is higher than the one immediately available, like in programming EPROMS: a 25V is necessary, but common digital circuits have only 5V and 12V lines.
This converter circuit solves that problem. It converts a DC voltage to a much higher level. To be able to obtain the desired output level, use Table 5.1 to know the correct value of Rx.

L1 is a small coil with 85 turns of 0.2mm magnet wire around a ferrite core. Its total inductance must be around 100 µH.
